I’m a filmmaker but probably should’ve been a mailman, since I push the envelope and deliver.

It was the best, worst experience of my life.

I made movies for all kinds of things back in high school. My math class project on statistics became a disaster thriller filmed on the school’s roof. When Mrs. Poole retired, I created a slasher film where she murdered the other band director. Even in driver’s education, I made a PSA that ended up airing on TV— and brought my school some well-deserved funds.

A few years on, I dove into commercial work by helping my parents’ business reach its potential with funny ads sprinkled with surrealism. At the same time, I’ve had the privilege of transforming the way people see my hometown through various tourism pieces and two historical documentaries.

However, it was the moment I stepped onto an official film set that truly put my passion to the test. All I can say is, “It was the best, worst experience of my life.” Despite the chaos, fatigue and dangerous amounts of gas station coffee, an unmistakable realization cemented my suspicion: I really love this whole filmmaking thing.

So while my journey has been nothing but an eight-year adventure, I’m just now taking my first professional steps. All my energy is channeled into creating a body of work that honors my voice and defines my style as an emerging filmmaker. Currently, I’m in pre-production for a new short film and apparently, I have something for hard candy and escapism— but that’s a conversation for another time.
